How to be happy

I have recently received my essay results.

To be honest, I used to be really excited when it was results day. Both the nervous kind of excitement and the ecstatic kind of excitement. But this year, I was exceptionally calm. I realised it might be because I have grown tired. I have grown tired of facing this horrible reality that every aspect of our lives is being judged - from grades to houses to whether our dogs are 'cute' or not.

So anyway, I opened up the Microsoft Excel sheets. To my horror, I performed unexpectedly bad. Well, except for one (and ironically, I did that essay in one day as it was a '48 hour deadline' essay)

I am not going to lie but my initial reaction was 'what in the world?!!' How did I go from a little above average to this??

I was not upset - just truly shocked. Then the feeling sank in. This odd sense of acceptance. It is not that I am happy about it. It is just... I guess... my own doing?

After a day of mourning a bit, it dawned on me:

1) Why some people get depressed
2) Why some people have the willpower to let adversity be a one-off thing (sorta)

Ladies and gentlemen, today, I'll let you in on a secret. Everybody, huddle close...

Do you want to know why some people do not get depressed or get affected by criticisms, and can pick themselves up in times of hardships?

The answer is this - one word - SWAG.

Yes, you heard me right the first time. It is swag...or confidence, if you prefer that word. (I like 'swag' more).

Swag/confidence is so important. It is THE quality that makes people look past their faults and forgive themselves when they do stumble.

Because if we keep harping on our shortcomings, we will always have shortcomings. But if we acknowledge them and then look past them like we own this mother-effing world, trust me, we will own this mother-effing world.

Suddenly, numbers on a piece of paper or the cracks on your bedroom's wall or your dog's strabismus condition is just well... nothing.

TADAH! First-world problems vanish!!

So yes, people, don't let some teacher tell you, 'your essay sucks' get to you. Don't let some insecure bully tell you that your house ain't big enough, your car ain't shiny enough, etc etc etc, shatter your confidence. Everything is cool if we have swag.

Oh yeah, but please don't mistaken swag for arrogance. Swag is like training our brains to get rid of negativity to push ourselves forward. Arrogance is like training our brains to take in negativity to push people away.

Haha! There you go. The simple solution to all problems. You're welcome!

And more T.O.P gifs cause... he's cute :)

Not forgetting Seungri too...cause he's also cute and very very hilarious! Why do I always like the maknae?

And finally, T.O.P and Seungri together... SO MUCH BROMANCE! I cannot handle!

Before I go.... I edited another video. This one took me ages to do. I had to compile then synchronise them. It was sooo tedious but worth it. All seven live performances in one, enjoy!
