Marvel: X-men

This post will NOT contain spoilers. Don't worry...

Last Friday, I finally made time to watch the latest X-men film. It is really the best X-men movie hands down. But as usual, if you watch the cartoons or read the comics, you will realise that it is slightly different from the original Days of Future Past story line. Other than that, it is actually not bad.

Anyway, this post is not about the movie per se. I just wanna rave about how much I love X-men.
Honestly, I wouldn't go as far as to say I am a comic book fan because there are tooooo many books and I have only read a few full series and a dozen loose comic books. BUT, I think I am entitled to say that I know quite a bit and prefer it to other superhero groups like the Avengers, Fantastic Four and DC's Justice League.

Reason being that X-men is very relatable (is that even a word?). Apart from the action, X-men actually has a moral message. I'm not one of those self-proclaimed righteous people but I do like stories with substance like Aesop's fables. That's probably why I do not like the other X-men films - they are too one-dimensional. I'm looking forward to better X-men films (ahem, X-men: Apocalypse in 2016) so fingers crossed that this X-men universe will get bigger and better in years to come!!!

And if you haven't, please watch X-men: Days of Future Past.

This is the trailer (that made me cry for days):
